ImageWith our schools entering a new era of ability-driven education, it is crucial that teachers understand how to mass customize lessons to meet the learning needs of their students. One effective approach is through strategies that match the students' learning styles and abilities.

This workshop covers the different elements of learning styles in the Dunn and Dunn Model. It will help teachers increase their awareness of their own learning strengths and develop metacognitive strategies to maximize their learning and teaching.

Participants will be taught how to customize learning and environmental conditions to match their students' personal learning styles through the use of innovative teaching techniques

  • Learning Styles Model (Dunn and Dunn) – 18 factors that would affect learning
  • Knowing Your Learning Styles – a personal 6-page profile of the learner’s learning styles would be generated
  • Customising students’ study strategies and home environment to their learning styles
  • Utilising students’ visual and-spatial techniques –
  • Memory Word Creator software – for generating acronyms to remember keywords
  • Both the Memory Word Creator software and Visuo-Spatial Pad have been filed for patent with IPOS Singapore
  • Sharing of local research findings
